What a start to 2010 with rental properties being taken within hours of instruction. The rental market in Mancheser is showing positive signs that the prices may well start to increase as the year progresses due to the overwhelming demand for City Centre rentals.

"Any property that is maintained, furnished and priced correctly is going within hours of instruction" says Julie, who has never experienced this in Manchester.  "Manchester has had so much growth in recent years and there has always been another development ready to complete. However, due to many builders freezing schemes or not starting them in the first place, the supply chain has stopped." 

In recent years, the trend has been for tenants to move around constantly, having 6 to 9 months in a property and then trying the next new development. With the new developments not being completed, this is sure to have an impact on the stock that will become available.
